That reaction by LT1 owners is really revealing. Reminds me of my two younger boys. Rarely does the 15 year old feel the need to prove himself relative to the 11 year old, but the 11 year old is constantly talking about what he can do better than his brother. I thought my 2016 SS looked pretty good. I think my 2018 does to. I think the LT1 looks good other than the badges which I would remove. Three things GM should address about the LT1. 1. The name 2. The tires 3. The 155 speed limit The first two can be easily remedied after buying. |

Enjoy the LT1 that you bought and stop having any second thoughts or regrets. You have a great Camaro for the money that you could spend some extra money on bolt ons and wider wheels/tires to make it yours. If you really want an SS or a ZL1 then trade up and drive on is my advice when the market gets better which hopefully will be soon.

This reminds me of when I used to be a Subaru guy and the people that bought the WRX's and putting a bunch of bolt stuff to try and make it an STI. At the end of the day, all the money they paid to turn it into an STI cost more then it should if they just would have bought an STI to begin with. OP get what you want and rock it! have fun and life is shortIt is your money and if you are happy, that is all that matters

Yes, as we know it's very frustrating not being able to drive over 155......

Well aware. But I don't buy cars for MSRP so I'd never buy in this market.

Especially since there is no such thing as a Deluxe model for the GT.

I think I will get a hybrid.....since I don't drive 155.
You should get some more coloring books, Viagra, and renew your subscription to Redneck Weekly.

I don't think it's hate, in either direction, when an owner points out why they chose the model they did. We all have different use cases, and different tastes.
I picked the LT1 because I like the sleeper vibe. The looks are more subtle than the SS. The SS is certainly a better track car, but there's no track anywhere close to me. There are no roads here where 155mph, or 180mph is a safe option. For the street, the LT1 does everything I want, with the look I prefer. I can carve through the backroads in the hills just fine. Blind curves and random traffic are a bigger limitation than the difference between the LT1 and SS. At least for MY situation. Could be very different for someone else, on different roads. More power to them if an SS, or 1LE is a better fit. I'd love to have a road or track locally where I could exploit that extra capability, but I don't. 2.0 - 3.6 - LT1 - SS - SS 1LE - ZL1 - Zl1 1LE. We all pick somewhere on that spectrum. There's no right or wrong answer. Buy what makes you happy. |

Except when it comes to knocking Turbo 4 and V6 owners To the OP: keep the LT1! As others have said, really take a hard look at how you're going to use the car. If you're not going to track the car, do you really need all the additional cooling offered by the SS models? If I were to get a V8 Camaro, the sweet spot for me would be the LT1 model with heated/cooled seats, dual zone climate control, and blind spot monitoring. Chevy, in their infinite wisdom/greed, makes you jump all the way up to a 2SS model for that stuff which is ridiculous. That's a huge jump in pricing, even compared to the jump you'd see on the Turbo 4 and V6 models. The digital dash in the 2SS is nice as well, but does it really give you more information version the LT1? Again, if you're not tracking the car do you really need that information? Enjoy what you have! You got a Youtube channel, right? Pretty sure I'm subscribed. Make some content lol |

Does the LT1 come with the SS suspension or the v6 suspension and does it have the 4 corner brembos?
