He would not say since everything with Camaro production is so up in the air right now, but I'm sure it will be shorter then my local dealer who placed my order back in February for a '21 and never did get an allocation but kept stringing me along saying it would be accepted any day. Joe did say that they get more allocations then most dealerships since they sell so many Camaros. I was his 25th 2022 order and so far I'm still at 1100. Joe has been super easy to work with so far.

All 3 of our 1LEs that were built this month are all marked delayed and sitting at 4300 status. No idea when they will ship.

It really seems like GM is trying to put us out of the Camaro business. No allocations yet for 2022 and we sold more Camaros over the last 10 years than most large DFW dealerships. What a joke.

I had money on an in-transit ZL1 going to GA. That was two months ago, and its still sitting in Michigan at the shipping depot waiting to head to Boston to get on the rail to head south. Same status. I ended up passing on the car and found a cheaper used one with no miles, but I keep tabs on it.

I was able to get a ton of information from Jack Cooper trucking. They are the ones that move the cars from the factory to their distribution hubs and then to the rail or directly to the dealer. You will need your dealer code, but you can call them with the VIN and they will give you detailed shipping status. Or you can put the VIN into their shipping helpdesk site and it will give you info as to where its at and if its been delivered.

Camaro production will not pause, contrary to what I've read on here recently.

"Lansing Grand River Assembly will restart Cadillac CT4 and CT5 production on Aug. 30. It had been scheduled to resume the week of Aug. 16. Production of Cadillac CT4 and CT5 has been down since May 10. There is no impact to Chevrolet Camaro production at the plant."

My 2022 is ordered at a Dealer, still at 1100 status so apparently they don't have an allocation yet either. Is it likely that dealers with no current allocations such as yours will get some soon? Trying to decide if I should try another dealer. I'd like to buy from the dealer where mine is ordered, but not if it will take considerably longer than a different dealer. Do you know when the next consensus runs are? I'd appreciate any information you are willing to share. Thanks

It's all confusing to me, I thought all orders are "accepted" but it doesn't get built without allocation given. My 2021 order was accepted in Feb, never went past that.

• What happens to the $$ for the '19? (In many states you can avoid sales tax on the trade-in portion when buying a different car? If they give you cash that deal is off. )
• If they 'hold' the $$ who gets the interest??
• What if they never get the '21?
• What if they get a '22 instead and want to charge you more than MSRP?
• What if it takes six months or more?

I think you can see where I am going with this. My Advice FWIW:

GET. EVERYTHING. IN. WRITING. including firm pricing for the entire deal and a cancellation clause where you get the full amount for the '19 in cash if the new car does not show up in xxx time...

1100 means the dealership has entered your order into the system but has has not been allocated yet.

2000 the dealer has received an allocation and Chevy has agreed to build the car.

3000 No more changes can be made to your order. Chevy has entered the order to the plant and a date for product is already made or pending.

It’s not the waiting. It’s the silence you get when you ask for updates. I called my selling dealer and they just say no further updates. I call customer service and they say call your dealer. Saw my ZL1 1LE listed back in April. “In Transit “. ETA 05/30/2021. Yesterday I saw 15 new ZL1 1LE Camaro’s listed “In Transit “. One going to the same dealer that I bought mine from. The sold that one in one day. I don’t like being strong along. I am dropping serious coin on this car and Chevrolet isn’t taking it’s buyers seriously. Lots of people are just moving to other brands. I seriously regret selling my SS to buy this one.

Have you asked Joe on his thread about your status? He can tell you whether it still sitting in Toledo or whether it's been shipped.

Be patient my friend. I felt the same way especially since I’m in Canada and I was told by a dealer they would not sell any ZLEs to Canada. That dealer was obviously wrong. When you get your car believe me……you are going to love it. They are pretty incredible that’s for sure.
