You have the lightest and fastest version of the 6th gen v8 camaro available. I would be getting a drag pack for that car and pulling out the back seats and shooting for 10s NA with a few supporting mods. That car is the perfect sleeper. Focus your money and time on making power now and dont look back at the SS.

Why...? did you overpay for the car, that if you sold it now that you wouldn't get most of your money back. Down payment included? I mean if you paid a reasonable price for the car then there is no reason you can't sell it for that same reasonable price and get all or most of your money back. If you overpaid for the car... sorry to hear that.

When zero customers were at the dealer as the pandemic began, I went over and easily picked it up for just under $30K. Not the new 1LE I wanted, but no regrets as I have an affordable fun v8 sports car and I saved over $10K "settling" for an LT1.
Lol not to be a dick - just ball breaking, but your username literally says 1LE or nothing...lol Thats just funny right there. But I agree. The LT1 in a normal market is a HUGE value for the performance. Like I said above, I would get a ton of boltons and a drag pack wheel setup, and just shoot for 10s. Then embarrass other cars on the street when they sleep on my LT1.

Are you sure? Maybe you got hosed on the way in, but trade in prices are so high right now that you should be able to do reasonably well on the way out. Maybe get a quote from Vroom and see?

Yea, been through this on other threads, unfortunately user name changes are not allowed. I had been wanting a 1LE since the 6th gen launched. Unfortunately, the cost of living in my area had delayed me several years. The fact that it had to be new only prolonged the delay. My LT1 is no 1LE, but it's close enough to satisfy my needs, and settling was a huge financial relief for my situation.

Vroom offered me $39k about a week ago. I paid $43k. Put $9k down (with my trade in). Used SS's around me are going for $45k and above with relatively low mileage. By the time new SS's come back to the lots or the used car prices go down, my trade in value will also go down.

I'm still grateful for the car and love it. Honestly now that I'm thinking about the SS prices right now, maybe I shouldn't complain.

You purchased a car you didn't really want and you almost certainly paid TOP dollar for it during these times. I wouldn't buy a used Camaro, period, until the prices come down. Its absolute insanity. I appreciate LT1's for what they are, but I'm not sure that I could purchase one. The wheels alone bother me. I like the beefier tires, especially in the rear. The 275's on the SS's are even a bit too narrow IMO.

Your only option is to either be satisfied with what you have, or bite the bullet and get your wallet out.

I'm sure you have a few options, but you paid almost $14K more than I did for the same make, model, and trim. I know prices had gone up when you bought, but that is just too much to pay for an LT1.

I'm just kicking myself because I do love the gauge cluster, screen, and bumper on the SS's, but there was just none near me.

I need someone to help me feel better about the purchase
I actually in a way prefer the lt1.

I don't know how you pay $43K an LT1? Must have tons of options. I paid $33K for my 1SS with zero options but I qualified for the $2K Mustang rebate also. If I were you, I'd KEEP the LT1 and maybe put 275s on the rear and it would sit just like an SS.

LT1 is the lightest of the bunch. Put sticky summer tires on it and you've got traction to match. Don't throw $ away and dump the car when have that engine. Sit blindfolded in an LT1, SS, 1LE as a passenger, you'd probably think they were all the same.

I've never seen anything so incredibly ridiculous. Hopefully you can find a much tamer and less ostentatious one.
