I got the kangs working this weekend. Impressive tires once they break in. Next weekend is a 2-day divisional on concrete, so I'll take my 15 run kangs and run them against my sticker Falkens. Hoping that will give me some direction on which ones to run at nationals. Also, I'll be running the pro finale since I get tier 1 entry due to winning my class in 2019. Might need both sets anyway :P

New Fastrack is out, sounds like the 1LE might be going to FS where it belongs next year

I'm probably going to write another letter that shorter and to the point than the one I wrote last year. I support 30740.

Question: they note that they are leaving the GT350 out of this decision but are seeking input. My impression has been that they are not faster for autocross courses than the new Mach 1 and probably not much faster than a PP2, so there's no reason to exclude them. What do the rest of you think?

So the 2019+ GT350 has been left out of the decision because of the handling package option. They found out that only 3500 cars were ordered that way from the factory with that option so, another unicorn.

That being said, its a dealer installed option so one, I don't know why its legal in the first place, but two, if it is dealer installed I don't get why if someone went and got a gt350 and it didn't have that, they could have it done. I think it just comes down to price honestly.

With the GT350 going away and gone, prices will start to go up and for the health of FS they want new cars you can get off the lot right meow. Taking out how crazy the used car market is at the moment.

I'm genuinely curious whether or not the 1LE with the 10spd is faster in an autocross setting.

In a pro, maybe...

The car already has power down issues, you have a shorter 2nd i cant see that getting better.

but personally, I cant own an a10. lol

Yeah, hate the power down issues for sure. Was at NMCA event in 93 degree heat and lousy surface. New Re71s in 305/30/19s, hotchkiss front bar on soft. Saturday you start going uphill then mostly downhill with 90 degree turns and a corkscrew, several tight transitions. That direction track race was faster then nannies off. On Sunday was opposite and going uphill in the tight turns and corkscrew, and nannies off was fastest. But boy the rear on corner exit sure liked to step out, easily controlled, but it did, and cost time. Front bar in middle setting would have tamed the rear, but with experience with it, would not turn in fast enough. Track race or sport 2 their is no issue, just slower. Always a problem that isn’t easily solved.

A10 and short 2nd would not have been fun. Be like me keeping it in first I bet

Fair point, I was just looking for an excuse to upgrade my 2017 but I guess the transmission isn't it

Well... Turn-in and power down are very much improved with the GMPP autox tune... it's a really big difference! I've done some runs w/o the tune and both turn-in and exit are less predictable and the car is not nearly as fun to drive. The way the car rotates with the tune is awesome. Otherwise you're certainly better off w/o the e-lsd.

On the F-street thing, it's only fair if you let base models use the same wheel sizes as the track pack cars. A Camaro SS runs 245/275 stock. A 1LE can fit 305/325 on stock wheel widths. How is this remotely fair?

Its more a matter of FS is failing to make numbers anywhere. Stupid people like us that enjoy this sport buy the performance versions(1LE) and are more likely to compete, vs people off the street that buys a regular ss.

E-LSD tune and ZLE rear subframe bushings make for a nice upgrade...
