2020 2ss and getting wireless AA

The one thing that I didn't love about my 2020 2SS with that there was no wireless Android auto. A while back one of the forum members had mentioned a startup project called aawireless. I was able to get my hands on one a week or so ago, and for anyone that is looking to upgrade their system for under $100, this little device that plugs into your USB port, is absolutely amazing. Just wanted to let anyone know who was looking to upgrade to wireless, this is absolutely the way to go. It takes about 10 seconds to hook up to your phone, with absolutely no issues at all. It's a little 1x1in dongle , super discreet, absolutely wonderful

where did you order it from, or did you get it straight from their indiegogo page?

So this replaces the USB cable for the phone instead?

i'm confused. I have a 2021 LT1 and can wirelessly connect my Galaxy S8 (yes an old S8!) to my car. I can use Waze, play music etc. What is it that you are trying to do?

Yes, the phone will automatically connect to the head unit and you can use AA without plugging anything in. Both the wifi and bluetooth connections need to be enabled on the phone for this to work. There is a CarPlay counterpart dongle, too, with similar functionality.

He has a 2020. Your wireless connectivity is a 2021+ feature in the car, not on the phone.

What’s the name of the CarPlay one?

Will this only work on 2020? Not a 2016? If it works on earlier models I'd buy one for my '16 and my '18 Tahoe.

So does this little dongle transmit a wifi signal or do you have to have an OnStar subscription? To my knowledge the only WiFi in our Camaro's today is if you have an OnStar subscription.

Edit: Never mind... I just watched a Youtube Setup video. Looks pretty straight forward. Think I'll be buying myself a couple of these. Wonder how fast it kills the battery in your phone.

There is really no excess battery usage, it's awesome

As long as the unit is already equipped with wired AA, then it will work on any make and model

You ordered it right from here?
The $75 Unit? No hesitation providing your CC# to Netherlands?

Yes ordered through there, no issues what so ever. Indiegogo processes payment, so no issues

Mine should be coming in within the week for my 2019 camaro it was nearly a 4 month wait. This little unit plugs into your usb port so it should fit nicely in the arm rest. Can't wait to go completely wireless.
