Well NJMP Thunderbolt is greasy the hotter it gets.
I took Vang out for a ride the last session of the day.
Wanna go for a ride?

The more honest question is how much you are willing to spend for each incrementally quicker tire and how often you track.

The G3's are a great value. The G3R's are a great value but wear out twice (+/-) as fast, and so on. I only run on G3R's, Hoosiers, or slicks now with my SS 1LE (and have for a long time).

You can send a kid to a nice college for what you can burn through annually on Purple Crack (Hoosiers) or similar if you track a bunch and run aggressive pace like guys like Nicky and I do. I don't mean that last bit bragging, just I know (slow) guys that track, let's say, on G3R's, and they brag about getting a bazillion sessions out of them. If I drove at the pace they do, I'd get a bazillion sessions out of mine, too.

Philosophically speaking (because it's Friday), if they get the same kicks out of their snail pace, they may be better off in the end... which doesn't detract anything from the value of your speed and abilities, of course I wish I wasn't such a chicken as a performance car driver (working on it).

Make sure U use the gauge to read the tire temp - and do NOT push till it says “warm” - generally 3 laps for me. Before that they will give without warning and bite u…

Yet another great video and doggone it that sound makes me sick. I only do about 1 track day a year, so it was like starting over when I went to CMP this year instead of RRR, where I always go. I was on my cheap Bridgestone S007A's too, so no where near as confident as my OEM Goodyears, but great on the street.

Do what you can do!
My recommendations are seat time and develop a trust between you and your car!!!
