Exhaust question

Hello everyone, I have a 2018 ZL1 just put cooks headers on it with pipes right out the back. It sounds great when you race the car but around town it’s quite obnoxious, was looking for any recommendations on some good mufflers. Was thinking about the Borla S type, I don’t think I need the Attack . Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like Borla S would be perfect for you.

It’s been about a month since I’ve installed the S-Type axle back. It definitely woke up the exhaust but it’s not over the top loud. In your case, the S-Type would be the most ideal choice for you. Id also recommend you keep the NPP valve functionality just so you can bounce between loud/quiet!

The Borla S-type is awesome and will help mellow as well as deepen the tone of the exhaust. I wish there was one available to me locally when I purchased my Atak.

There are also some alternatives out there like the AWE touring and the newer SW exhausts.

You're right to stay away from Atak, that will be LOUD similar to what you have now I assume. S-type is good, also Corsa makes a nice drone free exhaust as well.

Awe will be a no go with headers because it's going to be just as loud as the Borla Atak. Corsa will also be loud unless you get the npp version or their sport version. Your best bet is to get something with npp like the S-type. Fwiw I have the Borla Atak on my car with no cats and a 427 stroker and in touring and sport it's not so bad it only gets loud and raspy up towards the top of the powerband. It's definitely quieter now than when I had my AWE Touring on.

Just installed the Borla S-type on my 2SS and absolutely love the tone and growl it gave me over the stock non NPP exhaust . IMHO the atak was a little too loud and aggressive for my taste.
