What will you do if/when the camaro goes away?

I'm on my 4th Camaro so it's obvious I'm a fan. I have loved every moment with each one of them. I wouldn't say I'm brand loyal as I've had my eyes on Mustangs and Mopars over the years, yet somehow I always ended up with the Camaros. Unfortunately, this will be yet another disappointing period in the Camaro history it if does meet another demise.

I don't know if this will make the current more Camaro desirable, or even collectible. For me it's hard to get rid of my cars. My '94 Lt1 was in my hands for 20 years. My '99 I've owned since 2003. However, now that they've unveiled the new Vette, I think it'll be easier for me to release my grasp on the 2 ZL1s. They should make a nice down payment on a new Z06 if the price isn't too crazy.

I will continue to drive my SS until such time that I want something else. I usually keep my vehicles for a long time, so who knows when that might be. I will say that a used C8 would not be out of the question if my finances are up to it. But this could be 10 years from now...

Keep the one I have running and add a C8 to keep the miles down.

The Mistress has a permanent garage spot. I’ve already got the wife convinced to give my DD to my kid and get a C8 vert

I’ll keep driving whatever I have. No big deal whether they make them or not to me. They quit making the second gen and I still have my 70!

If the C8 convertible loses any chassis rigidity vs. C8 coupe it makes no sense to me. The roof of the coupe comes off and is stowed so easily, it's a better convertible.

They made a convertible ZR1, I just can't fathom why they did this when the top can be lifted with one hand by a 5 year old and stowed securely in the trunk in less than 1 minute. And with the top down, the ZR1 convertible looks bad.

Rigidity will be identical. Weight will be heavier in the vert.

As far a better vert, I’ll tell ya that it’s quite handy to just push a button when you’re out on a busy road and some rain starts. Happens pretty much daily around here this time of year.

Yup. I'll be there.

Of all people, my WIFE has fallen in love with the C8 and wants one badly. You could have knocked me over with a feather. She currently drives a Scion.

Stuff like this makes me believe that Chevy may find ALL KINDS of new customers for the Corvette.
