I’m convinced I would have broken into the 39’s if not the 38’s on the Pro Course if I hadn’t run into the VW Golf that got bumped down to Novice the next day. I also ended up sliding twice and correcting on that 1:40.1. Now I need to go back! 😂

I don’t know that I would have run any faster on the Club Course. I was pushing it pretty hard. Maybe with some stickier tires, but maybe a 1:41.9 at most with the current SC3’s.

Luan (MODRN71),

Great to meet you at Mid-Ohio this past weekend! Glad you maded it home safe and sound.

Joe (Mr. Wyndham),

Great to get a chance to meet you as well!

Hope to see you both at a future track event sometime soon!

Becky D,

Always awesome to see you! Disappointed our time together was so short!! Best to both you and Joe, and Lori and I ARE planning to come to Detroit in December and look forward to spending more time together then!!

Best time of the two days on the Chicane circuit was a 1.34.71

Was shooting for Provost's best and missed it by THAT MUCH!!

Actually, really pleased with that time....and now I have a great excuse to make it back next year.

Really like Mid-Ohio, second only to RoadAmerica on my favorites list.

Awesome circuit!

(PS - attached the video but it's horrible. Sorry. Had no idea my RAM mount was bouncing like that. Might need to go back to my PDR if I can't get that addressed.)

Todd, if you are on Facebook at all there is a great group called “Camaro 1LE R” that you should join. Here is a shot that someone in that group took of your car: photo Credit to Mike Martin

I’ve run with a few groups and they are honestly my favorite, even over Chin.

Cost varies per track but it’s usually around $450 for 2-day events. This was a 3 day event but I only went for two days. They have 3 run groups, Novice, Intermediate and Advanced. They provide a slew of instructors for the Novice group to use as well. Guaranteed 2 hours of track time per run group. Usually they do 3x 20-minute sessions in the morning and 3x 25-minute sessions in the afternoon after lunch.

Mid-Ohio was a bit different because of the holiday, there was a motorcycle group booked after the car guys, so we got 4x 30-minute sessions instead because of the shorter day. Still, 2 hours of track time.

Same here! Confident there was a 1:39 in there...

Man, that guy! I'm pretty sure I ran into him in over half of my laps, mostly in thunder or the carousel. I honestly don't know why they didn't bump him sooner - he was basically Sunday cruising; never seemed like he was really pushing it at all.
