They probably mean the cost will be higher for the special order and it would be best to get it painted black yourself.

Carbon Flash Black is a Black paint, with a small metallic flake. Really great to conceal any dirt. And we think a perfect solution.

We noticed quite quickly pure gloss black on the rockers is nearly impossible to live with.

Here is a close up of the Carbon Flash Black.

Yeah except he also said black was impossible to live with. I'm wondering why.

He said it was b/c of they way they show dust/dirt as opposed to the metallic black.

I am very interested in these. I can see them in my future for sure. But I have a nice list of things to get to before these unfortunately, and the fact that I need to spread out my Camaro purchases to my wife doesn't notice as much. lol

Looks great. Price for Primed is good.
I have no idea what it costs to paint body pieces though.

It is a personal preference, getting the primed units and getting them painted gloss black locally would be the correct solution for the guys seeking the gloss black look. We'll let them chime back in after a few drives ;-)

Personally I found the gloss black way to hard to maintain on our test car, given how low they are to the ground, the dust from the front wheels settling on them was insane.

Hence we made a decision to go with CFZ, i found it to be a perfect balance, appearing to be black, yet, the sparkle added a nice touch to it.

best would be to call us and set up an overnight order.

We are processing primed units today, and painted ones in the coming days.

Was it brake dust, or road dust settling on them?

Mostly road dust... with the carbon flash, the metallic flake hides most of it. Looks great in person

I painted the bottom half of my ZL1 side skirts gloss black on my 2014 SS. I regretted within 3 months of doing it. The road/brake grime flawed the paint so badly on them that I could not stand looking at them in direct sunlight!
Metallic in the paint just naturally hides scratches better. That's why I went with MBM over the regular black for my 2016.

When will the spoiler be released?
I would rather order the spoiler/rockers at the same time and save on shipping (and local painting), than do one at a time?

Thanks so much for these pictures. My SS looks exactly like yours, so its easy to know what my car would look like as well. Now I just have to imagine the car with 6th gen 1LE rims and a few other changes I have in mind and it would be amazing.

I notice you have the new ACS dovetail spoiler on there as well. Mind sharing more pictures of that!!???
