Calipers
Hey guys,
When I bought my camaro a few months ago i noticed that the front calipers have sticky weights on them. I've researched and even called the dealer I got it from and got nothing. Can anyone tell me why these would be there? Would that extra weight also contribute to noisy pads? They're 6 months old and squeal like a new born pig. Any help would be appreciated! |

Supposed to make them squeak less- the 2010 didn't have the 'roller skate' weights on the pads, so they improvised and stuck wheel weights on them.
When I installed 2010 calipers on my 2015, I stripped the weights off and used stock Brembo pads- no squeaking at all.
