What notifications are you referring to?

My text message and phone connect/dc is also really loud :( Would be nice to lower the volume of the chimes.

Turn down the chime volume. It's in the settings somewhere. Was one of the first things I did, hate a car that's always beeping at me.

You more than likely amplified the chimes in both the amp and loc. You gotta turn one almost all the way down for the fronts. I set my gain on channel a on the amp all the way down and using the loc to amp the fronts. You then have to find the level sound for the fronts in the audio setting on the unit to balance

i'm going to look into this. I can hardly hear my turn signals at all. I HATE to be that guy driving along with his signal on.

It's truly a crappy setup having all the chimes and notifications going through the front left speakers but it's what the geniuses at Chevy decided was best. If there's a workaround out there I'd be glad to do it.
