ZL1 exhaust question. *kooks headers to which mid section?

Looking to upgrade my exhaust and I'm starting to run in circles trying to figure it out.

Car is stock now except it has a borla s-type axle back that hooks up to the factory mid section.

Looking at the Kooks 1 7/8 with the "off road" connection. Part #2260H410. Can I use the kooks mid section, part number 22604161? Or do I need to use the Borla 60607? The kooks mid section is 3 inches but says it bolts up to the factory muffler.

From my understanding, the axle back is 2.75. I know borla makes a s-type for zl1s in 3 inch, but it's an entire cat-back system. And most use the SS for the axle back.

I had kooks going to borla secondary cat delete, it was a little weird mating together but no issues. Problem is, they don't sell just the secondary cat delete anymore.

Just incase anyone runs along this down the line, here is the reply I got:

The 22604161 includes the mufflers and tips, which you will not need since you are using the Borla Axle-Back. The best option for you is going to be ordering the 22602400 and the 22605181. This will give you the 1-7/8” Headers with 3” Competition only Connections, X-Pipe, and Rear connections that are designed to be used with the OEM muffler section. The cut point we use to go to the OEM exhaust is very close to the Cut point for the Borla Axle-Back. The outlet of our rear connection pipe is reduced to 2-3/4” O.D. so it should connect to the Borla parts with minimal, if any, fabrication.

Here are the links to the part numbers I’m suggesting: 1-7/8” x 3” Headers Part# 22602400 (https://kooksheaders.com/headers/lon...0-camaro-sszl1)

3” Header-Back Competition Only Exhaust for use with OEM mufflers Part# 22605181 (https://kooksheaders.com/exhaust/hea...ctory-mufflers)

Please let us know if you have any questions. Thanks
