Verifying 2022Lt1 has ZL1 tank pump, post #25 comparison

I tried searching this for the 2022 Lt1 but couldn't find it. Trying to verify my Lt1 has the upgraded pump. I think it does but need to know for sure on my new build. Also going to use the JMS V2for additional voltage for the low side. I think King mentioned he thought it did have it, I can call my local dealer and probably find out that way also in having them look up the part number on the pump. I was thinking in 2019 GM started putting the Zl1 in all the new 6.2 Camaro's.

Because The LT1 and ZL1 have the same part number #84873930 for the low side fuel pump according to GMpartsdirect.com

Starting in 2019 all V8 models started showing this part number for the fuel pump, where 2016-18 were different between SS and ZL1.

Ok, just got off the phone with Greg at Pace Performance. He's been in the business for a lot of years so I figured he'd know what was happening on these pumps. The Lt4 Zl1and Lt1 SS are now the same pump. I didn't ask him when they changed but I'm pretty sure I'm close on the 2019s. Here is the Part number for both 85170844. The bad news is the Lt1 Trim level has a different part number 85170847, this 85170847 was based off my Vin Number. He couldn't tell me if the pressures or volume was the same or not. So, that sucks and the Zl1/SS pumps are on national back or and not in the good old USA. I just know on E65 that my low side at WOT on my logs is about 68 to 70 psi and the high side is about 2550 at WOT.

Isn't 2019 when the LT1 trim package came out?

LT1s came out for the 2020 model year and were first built in Q3 2019. I have one of the first LT1s ever produced.

King, I truly hope you are correct about the LT1 having the ZL1 low side pump from the factory. That would be some of the best news I've heard concerning the 6th gen in a long time and would REALLY simplify my fuel system upgrade for the blower. I hope someone who knows for certain can chime in and lay down the facts for us.

Public part information is so confusing and all over the place that you'll only know for sure if you pull your low side pump and look at the part number.

You will never get actual assembly data out of gm, and I wouldn't want to risk a fuel system insufficiency because someone said it was the LT4 low side pump and it'll be okay. Issues may only manifest under continued high load, just when you don't want the mixture to lean out.

I would equally not want to risk dropping the tank if I already have the LT4 low side pump equipped from the factory. Really hope some one who has changed the low side pump on the LT1 can chime in.

There was another thread awhile back discussing this.

Either way it isn't the end of the world. Put the JMS on and see if you have enough low side. If not then you know it's not the LT4 pump. Either grab the for sure LT4 pump all vendors sell or get a aux pump.

Talked to Ted this morning, getting ready to order mine this afternoon. King has it just right, in the beginning since we'll be a little short on time, we can run less boost and more timing. For the LS Fest I can always add a little Ms 109 if needed. If I do have to switch the low side, I'll spend a little more money and do the Hellcat pump in the GM Basket. No big deal either way to me. Those numbers that I posted were the latest updates for the current low side pumps.
