I would get a 5 gallon can of MS109 or Gt100 and mix if E85 isn't a option.

1 gallon of xylene will take 10 gallons from 91 to 93. You can get it at Home Depot/Lowes or a paint store. I buy it at Sherwin Williams in a 5 gallon can.

Just the Boostane professional 20 oz cans

Not sure about specifics on octane #
The side of the can gives supposed results but I am not sure I believe it

I’ve run that exact one and got good results jumping regular 93 octane up to 96 or so.

I like forums because we can share and compare information/experiences just like this.

If I still had my house I would look into the ms109 5 gallon drum option

I've been running the Boostane for a week now, burnouts on the rev limiter and quite a few pulls through 4th gear. I was doing that already but the extra octane eases my mind a bit with these stock pistons.

I looked this up on Amazon from link above, looked like a good solution to low octane. On the reviews though, it says not to use with cats as it will destroy them. It's meant for headers and catless exhausts aka race exhaust systems they say. Is there any truth to this or just people blowing smoke?

Not sure, Boostane's website says it's safe for O2 sensors and catalytic converters. I'll report back if my cats fail, doubtful especially with only 3oz being mixed with a full tank.

VP's product, also in the same use as Boostane and Racegas, says they aren't harmful.

GM's Owner's Manual says not to use anything with MMT (or whatever I believe ALL these products use). So - all of these would fall into that category because MMT is what HAS to be used to increase octane in this way. Anyways...

I have been trying to use only enough for a 2-point increase (91 to 93 or so). I'm hoping this will be low enough that I don't kill any of that stuff for a while. I don't get a HUGE amount of orange in the tips, but it's a little different color than straight 91 (which is all that's available here).

Different forums all have same warnings about "destroying your cats with orange build up, etc etc"
Not once did I see an actual failure
Not once did I see engine damage
This product has been around for a decade+ now
I'm not worried about it
(Also about to remove cats soon lol)
