Jim Morrison of Stellantis

He was asked about the new twin turbo inline 6 by Autoblog and he responded, are you going to New York.

So the rumor is they will announce the new motor then...should be interesting.

Rumer mill is a ~3L inline 6 twin turbo.

My car V8 - 6.4L, going to keep it a long while.

Sounds like Toyota beat all the guys to the punch with the twin turbo engines. Pretty surprised Ram would come out with one given the "throw a V8 in everything we make" vibe they've had over the last few years.

Interested to see how it competes. Though i will be in they market for a half tom diesel if GM is still making them in tao years.

There have been some pretty bad ass inline sixes before the ecoboost v6 came along.

Agreed, but I thought the discussion was around Toyota doing a twin turbo 6 before domestic OEMs. They didn’t.

Buick was technically the first to use turbos.

This.

I do find it interesting as this is an inline 6 turbo engine. That makes it a bit different in my opinion. How many other inline 6 turbos out there in mainstream vehicles?

Every BMW 6-cylinder, most Mercedes 6-cylinder engines, GM. If you wanna crank up the Wayback Machine, some of the best vintage Toyota and Datsun sports cars were powered by I6 engines, but just not turbo, which is the point I think Puddin was trying to make.

I’m thinking that there may be a bunch of Saab owners who might wanna have a word with you. And I don’t think Saab was even the “first”, but they were definitely out there before Buick.
