7mm Extended Studs + 71643NBC Gorilla Lug Nuts

Has anyone tried the Chevy extended studs (11588810; 7mm longer than stock) with the 71643NBC Gorilla Lug Nuts?

I'm buying the 7mm extended studs because I'm buying wheels with 7mm additional offset for autocross/track.

When I swap back to the stock wheels after an event, I'm wondering if I can use the Gorilla Lug Nuts I have or should if I go buy some open-ended studs.

Another way of asking the question, how much additional space do I have with the 71643NBC Lug Nuts before bottoming out? I'm hoping it's more than 7mm

Thanks in advance

Wheel offset has nothing to do with needing extended studs.... unless you are putting spacers in between the wheel and rotor.

Hmmmm if the wheel offset is increased 7mm away from the hub, that is similar to using a 7mm spacer right? To be safe, I should use 7mm longer studs right?

I'm curious if my existing lug nuts will work with the stock 1LE wheels and with 7mm extended lugs.

Nope. Just because the barrel of the wheel moves out does not mean that the center of the wheel moves.

Hmmm, I understand now. Extended studs are important when using a spacer. Because the spacer effectively reduces the length of the stud.

But wheels with different offsets don't need extended studs. Unless the new wheel is super thick compared to the previous wheel.

So I don't need extended studs afterall. Thanks, guys
