No kidding... We need to hook up... There used to be a Camaro around the corner on Hometown Loop or circle or whatever it is, he moved, there is another one right near the first entrance I've never talked to him... Tried a couple times...but the timing or traffic didn't allow for it...

I live in the cul-de-sac of SOC. I can see your mailbox from my front porch. I've met your wife because she use to walk Satchmo this way but don't think I've ever met you. We should get together and talk sometime.

Heck yeah,

I mentioned your comments to Deb, and she remembers meeting you... I'm guessing third house from the end... on your side of the street

Thor, 185lbs, 17 months old here, taken 2 nights ago. 4 6-8 point young bucks just hanging out, eating my grass clippings along the backend of our property. All the big wimp would do is berf' and huff at the deer, no barking....what a girl. I wish I had a bow or something, doubt my neighbors would appreciate me shooting 1 of these with my rifle from the deck

My wife and I recently got this long hair chihuahua. His name is Logan and he's about to be 12 weeks.

He's giving mommy a hard time when she's watching tv. He would never dream of getting on me. Think she needs to stop spoiling him!

A real pet of mine. Had her for almost three years. Got too big and too hard to get along with. Turned her loose in a remote reservoir area. She weighed 43 pounds when I turned her loose.

Last Monday was a tough day, but I wanted to share some info on our family member.

My wife and I had to have our friend and companion laid to rest this Monday morning...

He had a rare form of cancer, diagnosed about three weeks ago. We discussed the situation with our vet and decided that we would monitor his quality of life.

Satchmo, (W-Bar's Lord Satchmo of Lazy D) was the neighborhood dog... He was a friend to one and all and took great pride in watching out for little ones, two and four legged little ones...

As late as Sunday night he went for a walk to check out his neighborhood and didn't exhibit and problems other than a slight limp in the shoulder, and some instability which is what had led us to take him to the vet, in his back legs, but he trooped on tail wagging and checking everything out like always. Monday morning, for the first time, he had a really hard time getting up and could not put any weight on his left foreleg. For a 200 lb dog, this is a major concern. The original diagnoses was for cancer in his hind legs. Apparently it was spreading quite fast, and out of fairness to him, we decided to put him down... He gave us so much, we didn't want to prolong his pain for our selfish concerns, and we didn't want him in a drug induced haze.

We have several neighbors that would come over and let him out during the day so he could hang with the kids...

I've never had a better dog, or four legged companion. He is comfortable, and wherever in heaven he is, you can bet that tail is thumping...
I was just coming in here to bump this thread, but then I read this. Robert, I'm so very sorry to hear about your ole pup! This is always the toughest thing to go through and deal with.

Please accept my most sincere condolences!

Cody is getting worse. Last evening it was dark outside and my wife and daughter could not get him to come in the house. When I came home at 2200 he sat up to see me and struggled to get to his feet, but then he came in the house. He would not drink water , but he licked 2 freeze pops til they were gone. I made all four dogs scrambled eggs for breakfast this morning to see if Cody would eat. It was good to see him gobble down the eggs. I don't think he will be around more than a couple of weeks.
