The salesperson and sales manager were stunned when I thanked them for their time and walked out.

There were plenty of other area dealers willing to take my order but wait for the deposit until they got an allocation.

Scott Chevy in Allentown was another who tried that BS.

I gave them a $1000 deposit which i wasnt excited about but they were one of only dealers not charging anything at all over MSRP. Every other dealer is charging anywhere from $4 to $6k or more over MSRP. I gave my deposit an had an was told they already had an allocation an was excepted by GM less then 2 weeks later

Wind Gap Chevy. MSRP - no mark up

Bergey, Raceway (Hellertown),, Brown-Daub, and Patriot in Warminster were also MSRP / no mark up.

Though BD and Patriot were clueless at the time with regard to ordering a '23.

Interesting i had spoke with patriot an they were charging a $3-4k markup an refused to lower it

I've noticed some inconsistencies as well.

For example I recently saw a 1LE listed by Bergey with a $3K market adjustment.

Yet I spoke to them a few times back in April - May and they were quite clear that wasn't a thing there.

Bergey actually had a Lt1 availabilie in their showroom a couple weeks ago. I had contacted them an they are charging $6k markup

Also if your vehicle is going by rail once its on train you can track to see when it arrives at local rail. Using this site

I wonder if that receipt shows what time it's offloaded from the rail yard, or what time it's delivered to the dealership. I just looked up my VIN. The time on the receipt was 8:42am. At 9:54am the dealership called to tell me the car was there. According to Google maps, it's an hour and seven-minute drive from the rail yard to the dealership.
