That's why I NEVER buy used with a high performance car. You can never trust the previous owner.

Top tip for everyone: if you own a high performance car, and want to sell it, spend the money to replace the tires with OEMs and have a full alignment done. Even if your car only has a few thousand miles. Worn tires throw up huge red flags to anyone looking at a used high performance car.

GM hasn't done 0% financing with incentives since the start of the year (since then only 1k off plus 0% for 60). Interest rates are climbing faster than new models can hit the lots. Sales are trending downward beyond seasonal expectations. And production runs are being shortened. GM is already looking at eliminating more shifts across their US plants due to the macro factors stifling auto sales.

I actually don't think those prices are out of line, that were posted for used vehicles. The 2016 SS can be had for 30k, the 2017 for 32k and 2018 for 34k. They lose 10k at the end of their first year and a couple grand each year after that. By 2020, when 2021 models are selling, the 2016's will be available for close to 25k and nobody will be surprised. Even the 2017 ZL1's will be available for 38-40k at that time.

The unicorn of used car deals would be a CPO ZL1 that's 3 years old for 42-45k with under 30k miles. The bang for buck ratio and 36/70k remaining powertrain warranty will be a true bargain when you look at how fast inflation is jacking up vehicle TCO.
Excellent analysis, thank you, The FED is pushing the country into another recession.

Nice catch. That outfit in Newhall, IA always seems to have a supply of Camaros at prices that get you excited. Every time I’ve looked at one online, it’s a car with a bad history. They seem to actively scout out lemon buy backs from around the country and resell them. It’s a business they have chosen to be in I guess. I don’t recall seeing a lemon buyback or an accident history car advertised at my local Chevy dealer.

Look up that same car on another site. In this case cargurus.com clearly states the lemon history.

Yeah, but it's an auto.

In August i could have bought a new 1SS 1LE for $38,080. No other options on it other than the 1LE, but was 0 mile full warranty, new.

I ended up buying a HyperBlue 1SS 1LE for $40k, but the car had the PDR ($1400?) and Black LightUp Bowties ($400).

To be honest, the white used one is a no option car and should be no more than $30-31k

Yep. December I am getting one of those SS 1LEs!

How can it even be legal not to disclose this?

Then again, if theoretically you exported a car from a state with strict lemon laws to a state that was more lenient, I'm sure that'd be a loophole right there...

Dunno...For sure the depreciation hit on most new cars is pretty steep.

I bought my 2SS in July this year for 40k plus T&L. In California that means the OTD was 45k.

I don't see any falling pricing on 2SS models around - except the convertibles. I was hoping to see a price around 38k possible but it was not to be.

Anyway I'm happy enough.

Not really relevant since all listings posted are 1LE's and 1LE's are more expensive than a standard 1SS.
