Any comments on the OP? Is this a low number car as stated in the ebay ad? Does anyone know anything about this car?

Already been posted, this is the Captured Test Fleet car #2. Test mule, or what ever you want to call it. Check out the 2014 Z/28 build numbers thread sticky, radrace19 pointed out in post #85 that the CTF cars VIN is the 9699XXX sequence, making this one the #2 CTF car.

Thanks for the response. I'm transitioning from the ZL1 to a Z/28 sometime in the future, but this price got me interested a little sooner than I thought I would be.
CTF=Rode hard, put away wet. Opinions?

This is actually a pretty cool find. Al Oppenheiser owns this one (pre-production 001)

Its a Z/28, you know you'll abuse it too. Just sadly, you wont be the first.
For what it is worth it has a remaining Chevrolet warranty, maybe you could get an extension. I wouldn't think twice if this was the one that you wanted, 2nd built. Like I said in another thread, had I waited any longer, this one would be in my driveway already. |
