Power for coolshirt

Got a coolshirt system and rear seat delete kit for easier mounting behind seat.

Anyone find a good 12v power source for the pump in that general.area yet?

Thanks in advance...

Tim

Assuming that the pump motor's current demand is within the rating of your 12v outlets, I'd solder a dedicated "extension cord" into the wiring supplying the nearest one. I'd probably go one or two wire gauges heavier than what supplies the OE outlet, and I absolutely would use a more reliable connection between this cord and the Cool Suit's cord than the usual 12v plug & socket. Include an inline fuse of sufficient amperage for the pump motor in your extension cord if the Cool Suit unit doesn't have its own fuse or other electrical protection against excessive amperage draw.

Thanks Norm, concur.. Removed the seat, nothing present to tap into. system has bare ends on the wires for direct hookup, will also add the temp switch they have..

What about off the battery, with fuse setup? Wiring not my best skill... And I don't want fire risk of goofy install.. Thanks for insight and taking time to answer.

Figured it out, All data shows a "rear body" fuse block. Just need to dig in with the voltmeter. Next to battery.
