I say that due to configuration management and economies of scale. It's more cost effective to spec and build one set that works effectively for both rather than to spec and manage two different systems throughout the lifecycle.

(And thank you to the mods for the sticky).

Not saying I don't agree with you on it...yes it would make sense, but I think they are different.

The exhaust is different. The A8 does have the AFM front butterflies. The SS with M6 transmission does not. I have seen my exhaust. So there should be a weight difference. I do not think by much though.

Yep we need to get this stickied somewhere that it will get the most amount of traffic. The mustang forums have it as a sticky in the General Discussion since it gets the most traffic.

Think someone can make this a sticky?
Can you think of a scale big enough, but small enough to keep in a tight space?
I' still have a few stock parts I can go through and add more to the list as I change things out

Of course we have the car scales that are four different pads about 16x16" but I also have a postal scale in shipping that is rather small for parts up to 150lbs.

Anyone know the weights of the

Rear Glass
B pillar glass
Side window glass

Thinking of going with Lexan / Optic Armour...

Could be as much as 50-70 lbs weight savings

Front passenger seat. 55 lbs.
Rear seat (folding and bottom portion) 31 lbs.

Digital house scale I would estimate it to be +/- .2 lbs

Wow...you just made my day with that blade info. Functional and looks - you can't ask for anything more than that.

I looked into replacing my battery a while back and unless someone else found something I missed, there isn't a lightweight replacement option available that will work without giving you a bunch of problems.

Wish a company would make a coilover system already, the weight saving and increased handling will be a great investment.. This platform/chassis is almost identical to the Cadillac ATS, I had hoped we had at least two options by now.

Really... That is one heavy seat.
Take both out and the back and throw in an OMP and drop 110lbs+ from the Camaro
