I said from the beginning that they should have left the '19 front on the 1LE for '20+, with the bar in satin/matte instead of glossy. But once you move the bowtie, the black is too much. I understand why they designed it in that way.

in regards to the pic of the 2020 ss 1le
Not necessarily new for the 2020 but ... The tires are too thin on such a large rim. The wheel looks kind of stupid. Put thicker tires on a slightly smaller rim and drop the car a bit to get rid of that gap or extend the fenders so the gap can be hidden without impacting wheel travel. I also dont dig the big splitter on the nose with the vamp fangs. That's going to get trashed so fast on any real roads in most places. Probably costs 600+ bucks and it's going to be road rashed and/or cracked trying to pull in or out of any commercial driveway. I wish they would make these things out of flexible / sacrificial material that can easily withstand that kind of action or be replaced cheaply. I dont dig the horizontal drl's on the sideburns. I'm not sure how you could improve that look but i'm not a fan of the sideburn look at all. The vertical lights look meaner and flow more with the lines of the car better I even kind of wish they found a better option for the upper grill. Like, not having one and instead maybe went with port holes or scoops of some type instead of a visible continuation of the lower grill. It looks lazy. I wish they could afford to invest in a more unique look for the high performance 1le than a black hood. Like give it a fun marketable name. Give it a fully unique nose than integrates active aero and brake cooling. Give it a rear active aero spoiler. And adjustable ride height. Or make that the z28, make the ile the stripped down racer that the 5th gen z28 was marketed as but without the insane sticker price and race-only parts. |

Has anyone been able to get the part number for the new Center Caps on the 1LE cars? They appear to match the wheel color and have a silver (or chrome) bowtie.

I'm torn between the LT1 and the 1SS. The price difference isn't that much and they both look great.

Do you want the 9-speaker Bose system? Can't get that in with a 1SS but you can with an LT1.

That LT1 got me all messed up. I'm into all the loud hot rod looks on the 1le, but I gotta admit I'm a sucker for a stealth stripper hiding a giant V8. That car needs steel Rallye wheels!

This. I too love the LT1 but would have to go SS, preferably 1LE when the time comes to upgrade
