Hi everyone....just popping my head in to make my rare appearance here. Late last year I was pondering taking a year off from car parts and shows to focus on other things, but a pandemic wasn't necessarily my idea of going about it.
Hope everyone is safe and healthy.
I'll see some of you back on IG and FB, where I hang out a little more often.

Do not use any wax on the matte vinyl. You will ruin the matte vinyl. There are special products for it.

Nice pics Aaron!

And like Jens said. Do NOT use wax of any kind on the matte. He is right. It will mess it up. Unless you ceramic coat them don’t wax.

Loud and clear, that’s what I’ve been reading too. According to their website, Griots Garage Speed Shine is ok for all exterior surfaces including matte vinyl stripes and wraps. Gonna try that for my instant detailer.

On another note, just had the CEL come on. Put my tuner on and got these two codes: This also happened briefly yesterday when I first started it. Today when I started it CEL was gone. Drove about 5 miles today and it came back on. Car runs and drives fine. I am pretty sure the car is completely stock. It is under warranty. Anyone have experience with these on our cars?

First code is ignition switch fault. Second one is fuel pump code/fault.

Not something I’ve run into or seen. But doesn’t mean it’s not an issue. I don’t think so but don’t recall anyone in here having that issue.

A bad battery can cause all kinds of issues in these cars.

Tech said the car battery failed the test, and that also the battery in my key fob is bad. They both work together and created the problem.

Can someone tell me if the front SS badge is the same or darker than the rear? The body shop got me the wrong lower grille which was white grille inserts with red SS badge so I decided to change the SS badge but it turns out it is darker than the rear SS badge. The SS badge I got was from amazon

Glad you got it fixed. And yeah these cars don’t do well on low voltage very picky.

They are supposed to be the same color.

There appears to be another F1FTY roaming around my neighborhood. It’s a Vert SS auto and they’ve got the rims painted or power coated black (didn’t get that close). Haven’t had the opportunity to say “hi” yet. Not sure if they’re just visiting or here to stay.

May have to demonstrate my territorial dominance.

Otherwise I’ve been able to get her out a couple of times this week. Supposed to have rain the last half of the holiday weekend. Figured I’d better get out while I can.

Hope everyone is safe, healthy and can get out safely this holiday weekend.
