Makes sense that the M2 Comp is a happy medium between the Audi and Camaro. Of course for the cost of an M2 Comp, you'd be able to get a ZL1. Shoildn't that have been the comparo?
What I resent about my BMW shopping experience is that when I tried to shop for an M2 a year ago, the dealer told me it was not available, sold out for over a year, and when I said I had to have MT, made me wait 1/2 an hour while the salesman fetched their one M4 with stick, a convertible. I hate cars that get good reviews in magazines but aren't actually available at the dealers. Hello, Civic Type R and BMW 1M. When I drove the M4, the steering felt dead, the motor sounded boring, and it was a sterile device to me. Crap. Presumably the M2 is better, and the Comp better still. As for their picks, I say there's an ass for every seat. Depends on what you want. One could easily drag in GT 350 and Cayman S into consideration. And the Toyota Supra will be along in a year or so. I do like the concept of the M2 Competition, although my car still spanks it, the M2C is a lot closer to what I think the M2 should have been from the beginning, although it's still too heavy for it's size.

I noticed in the beginning that the 1LE had Michelin's on but, I couldn't tell which ones--I think Sport 4S's.

We have a 1LE in the house and a Audi SQ5 that is modded. For having almost 500hp at the engine and weighing 4300 or more pounds it scoots along pretty good and handles really well.
The RS3 is a beast of a car. 400hp from the factory with AWD and it weighs 3600 pounds. It has a faster 0-60 than the Camaro SS and is only 55hp away from the Camaro SS but weighs 200lbs less. A straight line race between the two will be a drivers race for the Camaro SS. The RS3 takes to mods really well, there is one running around making 600hp to the wheels right now running a 9.83 1/4 mile time. I just told the wife the other day I am tempted to sell my 2016 Sierra 6.2 since it is paid for, pay off her Audi SQ5 and then buy a RS3. Something about that car make me think it would be a great daily driver only if I could get over the idea of knowing a truck suits us better for the things we do around our house.

My BMW 2 Series was a really nice car that combined luxury and sport. It wasn't the M2, but was the same size and weight. I traded it for the Camaro and never looked back. But the ONE thing I do miss about that 2 Series was its size - it was a foot and a half shorter than the Camaro and six inches narrower - just a perfect sized car. And that size made it so easy to drive on narrow roads, in traffic, in parking lots, and of course it was easier to park as well.

"The Camaro is the drunken whiskey drinker at the end of the bar that keeps playing I Love Rock and Roll on the juke box. Except this is a hotel lobby, there is no bar, and its already been asked to leave... twice."
This assessment pleases me. |

These reviewers make the vid fun to watch. For me, the size of the Camaro really makes it a challenge in narrow roads and unfortunately my area now has lots of them. For this reason, I daily drive my Leon FR (It is the SEAT equivalent of the Golf GTI, 1.8 TSI) |
