Costco Interstate Batteries

It appears Costco now carries batteries for our cars. LT1
Interstate AGM
$169
Anyone tried them? On my other car batteries Costco offers great warranties.

Item Number 1624799
Group Size H6 (48) AGM
CCA 760
CA 950

I bought one this summer. It seems to work fine.

I've used Interstate batteries in the past. They're good batteries.

Be aware that they have dropped the "Costco warranty" on them. They now carry the exact same warranty as if you bought it elsewhere.

Not worth the hassle of dealing with Costco to save a few bucks, IMO.

Perfect timing on this post! Battery died this morning…heading to Costco to buy an Interstate Battery.

I’ve had good luck with Interstate on my wife and daughters cars.

Pardon, would you mind sharing how much it sent you back? The website is telling me out the door 230, but the warehouse is telling me 200 which is odd. Thank you.

I see a price of $169.99 for the battery for "in warehouse" and $199.99 if I ship it. What battery are you looking at? Could be a regional thing if you're in an area that's further away from distribution centers or similar?

I've bought two Interstates and both had the exact same problem: a failed cell.

Consumer Reports - Car Battery Buying Guide

Proactive replacement after 5 years in my 2017 ZL1. Bought Interstate AGM at Costco, installed by local independent shop with oil change

I have an RS, battery is a Group H6 and the same pricing in SoCal…$169.99 warehouse and $199.99 shipped. The two Costco locations near me were out of stock yesterday. I did place an online order with expedited shipping, core, and tax came out to $260.34.

Fortunately, I checked at one of the local warehouses today and they had received stock this morning, picked one up for $204 and cancelled my order!

I was gonna get a Costco battery for my Ram, but bought at Walmart instead. Costco warranty is 3 years prorated, Walmart was 4 years. full free replacement for $20 more.

Most major/store brand batteries are made by one of 3 companies in the US. Interstate is made by Johnson Control which also makes Duralast, Diehard, Kirkland and Motorcraft.

I stick with AC Delco but if I wasn't going OEM, I'd get my battery at Walmart just for ease of exchange because of their hours.
