No. You have to be pushing the gas hard enough for them to appear. You don’t even have to go WOT. I’m still in break in and haven’t gone WOT yet or reached 5k rpm but I have seen them come one when accelerating maybe at 50% throttle. I may have gone 4200-4500 rpm a few times when I saw them.

Are you M6 or A10? Because I've seen people confirming they were working on M6 cars but yet to see any A10s confirming they have the shift lights |

23 Z the lights are active all the time.
Awesome feature and as arpad_m said, petty they turned it off on some levels, this is a performance car, no matter the level and it should be active.

OK I can confirm that I have the shift lights on my 2020 ZL1. Since my last message in this thread a few days ago, I only had the opportunity to drive the car in the city at freezing temperatures, so I was not able to do much, but it seems that there is a number of factors that make them show up: rpm, speed, gear you are on, how aggressive you mash the accelerator, etc. They show up on all modes, Touring, Sport and Track and they are pretty cool! I didn't have the opportunity to check how they show up while driving the car on the highway, at a higher speed, when driving aggressively, etc. Hope to be able to do that soon.

I'm a an A10 owner as well and the car shifts fine in auto (plus faster than any human can) and leave it in auto on the road course. On the street, I'll put it in manual if I'm waiting to pass someone or someone wants to play but then I'll put it back into D once I get on the throttle. |

Update -
I got some more driving in today, and can confirm that the shift lights do exist on my HUD when in sport mode, however i'm only able to see them in 1st gear. Since i'm still under my break-in and under 500 miles, i'm trying to keep it under 4k rpms in any gear, but in 1st I saw the tree pop up at 4k rpms, while in the other gears (2,3,4), I didn't see it activate at that rpm. Perhaps it shows up only at higher RPMs in upper gears? Or, is it really only in 1st gear? I'll have to get past break-in to find out
