Fixing the reflection on the screen.

One thing we see that needs to be done on all the 8" screens is to get the reflection off the screen, (the 7" will need it but as the car with the 7" is not here we will update when that is done) so some time ago we found some flat screen protector, this is a self adhesive film, and needs to be install by some one that can apply it with out any bobbles under the film, pics will be added here in a day or two.

Just installed one the other day. I had purchased a pack of three 8" Tech Armor films for my C7 years ago and had 2 left over. Put one on the other day and it reduces glare substantially.
Gives you a bit of a Matte finish. Easy install following the included instructions and installation tools..

Bought on Amazon as I recall..

Is yours cut to the shape of the radio? the link was to a square film and ours is not that way, the ones we have are wider and then we had them cut to size.

This one covers all the lighted info and touch areas perfectly.....(Not the entire screen which has dead spots on either side). I had it sitting around,so worth the try..

Here's how it damps reflections:

Showing the reflection to the left where the screen is not covered:

Moving the Camera to the right a little to show how the lighted touch area minimizes reflections with the 8" screen cover:

So are you guys making one that fits over the entire display area or just wider than the one Modshack did that just covers the UI? I think one that was cut to the shape of that whole display would be cool, less likely to see the edges of the film.

Agree...That would solve the whole problem..Reflections are not completely gone, but at least minimized somewhat with the screen protector..

I am very interested especially since I have a convertible. I would hope it would work in direct sun light.
