people where i was at in the rocky mountains used the continental extreme contacts. not a tire that will bitch slap your wallet and had acceptable wet and snow/ice grip. did a few canyon carves in a buddies mustang in torrential down pour.

The Nitto NT-05 works very well, the 4th fastest guy on the road course was running exactly that, ahead of Jordan running Michelin's...

everyone has a tire they like, no secret you don't like Nitto, just like I don't like BFG Comp2's and will wait to see if the Rival is a hit or a flop on the track, so far only sponsored fanboys have really run it at a hype event paid for by BFG, similar to the Comp2 release....

For the last 2 winters I have the Toyo Proxes-4 all season tires.
Really like them for the cold weather but I never take my SS out in the snow.

Just to clarify, I do NOT track or autocross this car.
It is my Daily driver.

I DO track/Autocross my '07 Corvette (my wife does too).

But I do drive the Camaro "spiritedly".
(Every time I am out driving ANYTHING I practice as if I am on a Road course)

I know I saw a thread that I recall a number of guys were running a General branded tire, like A03 or something, can't remember the model # though, sorry. I'll see if I can search it for you later today.
General Tire G-Max AS-03 available at Tire Rack. I was looking at those for two reasons a good all around tire and lightweight. Also had some very decent reviews.

I throw my input on the Comp-2's. I just put a set on the back of mine, and so far I really like them. Going to go ahead and put them on the front. As for the "stock" tire size these tires are actually almost an inch wider than stock. I originally was going to go with the NT-05's, but was worried about cold or should I say cooler (sorry I know I'm in GA. It's gets a little chilly ) Climates. Also i didnt like the tread wear rating with the NT-05's. I don't actually drive my car in the rain although there are couple times I get caught in it. The Comp-2's have a harder side wall so the tires feel more responsive than PooZero's. Believe it or not, but my car right now feels more planted in the back where as the front seems like its trying to slide out from under me....if that makes any since.

I realize it has been 2 years now.... but I finally got new tires, after
putting 35000 km on the PZeros.

I did go with Michelin PSS 255/40/20 front and 285/35/20 rears.

WOW !!!!! they are AMAZING !!!!

Great in the rain, and Great in the dry.

I'm a happy camper.

Tire shopping myself - after 30k on the P-Zeros and 35 k on the Nitto Invos it's time for new shoes again. I liked the Nitto, did not like the Pirelli. The Nitto's were a free test set, so no complaints on price either. I'm not driving on the track, but I drive in a fairly "spirited" fashion as well.
What's everyone liking these days?

A good alternative to Pzeros I my opinion are the Cooper Zeon RS3-S tires, which are less expensive than the Pzeros but are pretty much equal in performance and last slightly longer. They have amazing wet grip( Mickey Thompson derived compound), hold just as well or slightly better than Pzeros through hard cornering, and are almost as good in a straight line. Only downsides are that they transmit a little more road noise than Pirellis into the cabin and lose a noticeable amount of grip in cold weather, but not enough to affect daily commutes. I get about 22,000 miles out of a set compared to 18,000 for the Pirellis which is a plus too. I think as far as AA/Z rated tires they are hard to beat in terms of what you get for the cost, def worth looking into if you're in the market for new tires.
