I also had clearance issues with the flex fuel sensor on the pass side, which is why i moved it to the drivers side.

My other consideration was that since theres two paths for fuel to flow, and only one of them has the flex fuel sensor, i wanted the FF sensor at the most equal distance away from the fuel source. The driver side leg is going to be a longer path.

The most ideal would be to have the FF after the two sides rejoin.

In a practical sense though, it probably doesnt matter a whole lot. Ive just decided i wouldnt drastically change E content in one fill up, and if i do, id give it plenty of time to flush through the system before heavy throttle input.

Are you going to apply tune changes yourself on this?

Did a test fit and all is well so I will finish it back up tomorrow.
Perfect, everyone will be slightly different because of the intake they run. It's a little tight on the passenger side for sure. You found a great alternative to fix your issue.

I have reached out to Megahurtz for assistance on the tuning. I'm a real novice so would feel much better with someone in the know how helping. What keeps me thinking is if you tune it the same as meth could I take my current curve and just put that into the reflex and go from there? Hopefully I'll get some time with Mega when he's available. Currently I'm at 9.5lbs of boost so I'm going to leave that as is and stay E50. Don't want to have to do a lot of adjusting.

Well finally everything is buttoned up. If anyone else wants to do this with an LT2 intake I say don't. It took me 2 days to get the darn bolts to line up and had to use M6-1.0 90MM bolts just to make sure I had plenty of length. With that said no leaks so I don't have to take anything apart which is good. Had to ditch the cover but in the end it'll be worth it.

Now the real fun begins.

Looking good! You’re in good hands with Jason…smart dude, I read a lot of his posts on HP Tuners forum.

In my mind, youd have to take the current maf data and do some fancy math on it to reverse engineer what the curve would look like without meth... as if you were doing 100% DI. Then id probably add 10% at 8khz and up as a safety factor... or whatever maf hz meth would have started spraying. Assuming you want the blendover to start at 8k. Then take that data and do the 70/30 (70% DI, 30% port) split in the spreadsheet, then applying the 70% data to ecu/DI and 30% data to reflex.

The ecu and reflex dont use the same curve, the use the weighted mirror of each other.

Although most of these tuners have enough background exp to already know a good starting point for a maf curve, so maybe not worth the effort to reverse engineer.

My case was easy to tune because i was already running 100% DI when i installed it. I didnt really need the port until i pullied down and went full E85. Id have been more intimidated if i had to start with something already spraying meth, but i could prob handle it now.

A lot of tuning is just understanding the math. The rest is magic to me still!

Well a setback this morning went in the garage and smelled fuel. I thought I was good last night after a run of about 5 minutes at idle. Damn I don't want to take this darn intake off again.

Oh well....... let's get to it.

Not sure what would be leaking, you didn't change the injectors or the pump. Must be the fitting on the fuel line to pump. Do you have plenty of hood clearance since you raised the intake by about 3/4 inch?

It is one of the fittings. I'm by no means a pro but now that I have the lengths I need I'm taking them all off and have the pros make them. Not taking any changes of having to put this back and something else leaks. Just taking this intake off 1 last time. Just a slight delay beside the weather is bad anyway so no need to rush through it now. Plenty of clearance with the hood so no issues there.

Since I had the lines off figured I'd share a picture. As you can see the one long line running up front to a T then splitting over to the drivers side. The one in the rear shows the T fitting that flows down to the hpfp. The spot circled is where I noticed the leak.

Now here is where I'm lost. When taking the lines off I had fuel leak out only on the passengers side. The drivers side was bone dry. When I disconnected at the hpfp plenty of fuel drained out so no issues there. Lines going to a shop tomorrow for my sanity but just curious about the lack of fuel draining on the passengers side. I checked the T fittings just to make sure no valve was in them and they are good to go.

Was your fitting leaking at the tube connection, or at the conical/threaded end? Just curious. Making those lines was not fun.

Regardless of which spot it was leaking, maybe the leak allowed air into the system and thats why one side appeared drained.

I think its possible too that it just needed to be driven just a little bit to work some trapped air out.

The same straight line where you said the leak occurred appears to have had a kink or something in it. It appears to be narrowed at one point, but could just be the camera/photo. It seems long to me, but maybe your routing takes a different path than mine.

Yea adding that piece to the side with the flex sensor allowed me to clean up some hose from the opposite side and also take some off going down to the hpfp. Got everything back together nicely and we are looking good. Waiting on the wideband to come in. I grabbed one I can hookup to the P3 gauge and after that just looking for a nice day to get outside.

Finished my last minute shopping early so had some time to play. Good idling and nice to see it auto reads the E percentage. Going to let the laptop charge up some and go do some logging. Have a few things Megahurtz wants me to do and send him.

Now the fun begins......

Happy Holidays Everyone!!!!!!!!!
