Add-on magnetic ride control

I have a 2017 SS Iv owned a few months. Just wondering if anyone knows if magnetic ride control suspension can be added to a car that didn't come with it factory.

not feasible, more feasible to sell it, take the hit and buy one with.

Yer talkin control arms, shocks, sensors, and computer work. Possible, yes. Probably would save a lot of money if you traded up to one that had it equipped. Just get some nice coilovers brah

Honestly.. if you want it, trade it in, take the 5 thousand dollar hit and get. Its worth it IMO for the 60 or so bucks a month more it will cost you. But sucks you have to do it this way. How many miles are on your car? You still might be able to get enough back that will mostly pay off your loan since its so new. As for adding it after you bought it... that will be a pain in the ass and far expensive. It is one of my favorite features though. I <3 MRC haha

Until better tech comes out its not a reality as an add on, youd spend more trying to do then trading up

I'm really happy with the MRC but I wouldn't sweat it if you don't have it. It's not worth the loss or money you'd have to put into building it yourself.

Spend some money on some BMR suspension parts instead and keep what you got.

Check with DSC Sport. I believe they have, or will have a universal, stand-alone kit that may be configurable to our cars. Don't know for sure, but worth a shot.

I dont have it, never test drove one that had it, so i dont know what im missing and id like to keep it that way. lol

Viking shocks makes a stand along kit, it ain't cheap, and they don't have one for the 6th gen

I have a 2018 1SS w/o MRC purchased last April. Compared to my 2020 1LT V6 6m I don't care for the floaty FE3 suspension on my 2018 SS
My mechanic advised me to get the Bilstein B-14 Nordschliffe PSS sport suspension ($1009 for the kit from American Muscle. This was installed on my 2020 V6.)
Also the end links need to be replaced with American made BMR adjustable end links..but only on the front is neccessary. After about $150 for the links and $600 labor it is $1750 installed. An alignment is then mandatory. The adjustable links are needed as the Bilsteins lower the car 1/2" in the front. I was able to just casually toss my car down a MAX 30 mph super curvy downward slope built in the1940's at 65 mph with only my ability to hold myself in my seat limiting a faster run. Amazing feel too. The BMR links use real rubber bushings instead of polyurethane. THAT is what allows for the road feel. Good German Tech on a great Cadillac Alpha platform with a Camaro body!!! But it works!!!
