NASCAR and CAMARO

I’ve had a renewed interest NASCAR since I got my 21 Camaro. Camaro and Mustang seem to dominate the overall field. What do you think will happen when the Camaro dies after 24? I can’t believe Chevy will be out of NASCAR. And I’m sure NASCAR won’t let an EV in until they’re all EV. any news, scuttlebut?

NASCAR builds their own bodies now. The teams are no longer allowed to run manufactured stock bodies.

It's no longer "stock" car racing.

There's nothing stock about NASCAR. However, they have to "represent" existing models.

That seems not to be a problem. For example the NASCAR Toyota is a two-door representation of a four door front wheel drive family car.

If you want to see actual Camaros and Mustangs racing, check out IMSA, and NHRA sportsman classes.

NASCAR is a joke.

With the current mindset at gm I don't think they care about dirty ol' NASCAR racing or the folks that are fans. They've dropped out of racing before I wouldn't be surprised if they drop out again. The Corvette racing program will be the aggressive red headed stepchild and gm will probably focus on supporting more inclusive sports. Like chess.

Probably run a Malibu! I hate to see the Camaro in NASCAR go too but that’s the way it is.

All of NASCAR is fake now. Not one single bolt is stock on those cars. A lot of the engines are even made by the same exact companies. Take my advice...Wanna see some NASCAR action? Go online and check out NASCAR films from the 1950s-1980s.☝️🫤

Yeh...And Toyota is a Japanese car Co. They make there money here and profits get banked back in Japan.

The reason they dropped out before is because they were selling to many cars and the govt. stepped in are were talking about breaking up GM. Chevy volunteered to get out of racing to take the light off of them to keep Govt from hassling.

I think nascar will survive in some form even if GM bails again. They sold out Daytona this year (I've probably attended a couple dozen races there). They are successful because you can see the entire track on the ovals. Road races, you see the car you are following for a moment and then it's gone for a couple of minutes. It's hard to keep track of what's happening. Anyway, I think it would survive without Ford, GM and Toyota. They could still continue to use Camaro and Mustang noses and tails and keep manufacturer interest with the fans. And there are a ton of fans...

I hope NASCAR fails in its current state. It hasn’t been viewable since the 90s. People still viewing and attending are hoping for the good ol days long gone. Don’t give them your hard earned money. Just stop.

True. Plus I believe the "iroc" cars used for that used the Grand National frame anyway.
