I could care less what it does in a straight line. I want to see how it does around a track compared to a ZL1 1LE

I think the GT500 will have its handsfull with the ZLE A10. Especially since it is such an overweight.

And an LT5 ZL1 if not tuned restricted as much as we have now would take care of GT500 and Redeye. Roughly same HP as GT500, but much higher TQ plus lighter car =win..Now if they would build it for a 2021 release is anyones guess.

The Ford camp did this to themselves. Dodge guys learned their lesson after 2 years and stopped paying markups. I got my Hellcat at MSRP. And even now the Redeye is selling with a $7970.00 discount off MSRP. The Hellcat is selling for $7170.00 discount off MSRP. All it took was for people to stop paying. Ford guys have not figured that out. In fact they straight up defend it with statements like "it is well worth more than MSRP". LOL!! This price in the link is what you're going to see. They initially mark it up soo high that when they drop it to $20K above it seems like a big discount. And some of the dealerships that are not charging markups actually sold the allocation spot for a separate price which is not factored in to the final sale. SOme of them as much as $10K for the allocation. So they are still getting money over MSRP, it just technically isn't a "markup" since they sold the allocation and then sold the vehicle at "MSRP". Slick eh? |

It's a cool car, it really is. Styling wise... Not my favorite, but I do believe the GT350 is a seriously good looking ride.
But it took Ford until 2020? Wtf? Party is about over on this gen, this should have been out 2017 or 2018 at the latest. |

100% agree! I'd be interested in a $75K non-track pack version. Less aero and a more subdued spoiler so it looks less race car-like. |

I'm not impressed at all. Much slower to 60 than the cheaper, 265 less HP C8. The Ford hero run 1/4 mile time is about as likely to be frequent as the Demon 9.65. Standard times seem to be low 11. Five years after Dodge and three years after Chevy and this is all they can put out? Ouch!

That is what the standard car runs. You don't need the carbon fiber track pack to get the 10 second quarter times. Base price is around $75k.

jmack, myself, and the vast majority of us here are not impressed with the GT500. Nor are the Dodge guys. No, I'm not speaking for others, I'm just reporting what I see on the forums and pages. The GT500 is late to the party by years. 10s are no longer anything special. Try again. Better luck next time Ford. |
