I'm assuming it is his tires being too wide he messed up the harness which has caused issues.

If that's the case this is 100 on the OP. Sorry man. All you had to do was spend 3 minutes searching and you would have found the posts saying that the harness needs to be relocated.

Did you have a tire rubbing issue on the harness of both rear wheels on your car?

My guess... that he tried to squeeze a few more HP and the following happened:

1. Something went wrong, shop didn't do the install correctly, didn't want to take responsibility and told the OP it's a defective part from GM, go to GM for resolution.

2. Something went wrong, shop did do the install correctly, didn't want to take responsibility and told the OP it's a defective part from GM, go to GM for resolution.

Either way, shop is not taking responsibility and told the OP go to GM.

This shop is about 40 mins away from me.. haven't heard much about them but knew of them.

It's a GRAY area for both side... Sucks that it happened.. well, whatever happened!

If modifications caused a problem, the warranty will not cover it. The car is at a speed shop. It's not that hard to figure out. Not sure what the beef with GM would be...

But then again, that's this thread's purpose so far....Feed the guessing game.

Why do people start threads like this? What do they accomplish?

I love guessing games

A) OP purchased wheels and tires ad had them installed at their shop.
-Wheels were too wide or improper offset and caused damage
B) Shop either did not know this would happen or did and failed to warn OP about a known issue.

C) Shop did inform OP that the wheel and tire size may cause an issue and OP wanted them anyway.

Regardless of the scenario, GM is out of the picture. If the aftermarket wheel and tire package caused the issue, regardless of what the manufacturer of the wheels claims about fitment, it does not fall under warranty, and any and all consequential damage is not covered.

I've been working with Paul @ Need4Speed and haven't had any issues. Can't wait to see what this "issue" is.
