V2F's 2017 Camaro 2SS

Finally getting around to posting pictures and starting this thread. I've been poking around, posting and such, but haven't wanted to post pics because the car hasn't really been ready.

As most of you know, I ditched my M3 for the Camaro. Overall, I don't regret my choice, but there are some things I do miss about my F80. I think that's a given, considering how nice the car was. I made damn good power, but with the power I'm looking to make, I'd have to unload a shit ton more money to make the M3 just as fast. I'm not stranger to Pony Cars. I grew up around them, and my dad had a couple Camaros as well. I had two 2013 Mustang GTs as well.

I'm pretty sure most of you seen this floating around...

With the substantially reduced Payment, I was able to not only get the Camaro, but I was able to get the wife something that she truly wanted.

Here are pics from the first detail.

I did some light polishing with my Rupes LHR15 and preped the car for my very first coating job.

- Wash
- Iron-X
- Clay
- Wash
- Polish(Only in the needed areas, as the car was pretty clean for the most part)
- Wolfgang Perfekt Prep
- Wolfgang Uber Ceramic

There were a few spots that required a heavier polish and cutting pad, but this was the main jam during the job.

I coated all panels, glass and wheels. Overall, I'm happy with the results. This was my first coating application, and I definitely learned a lot during this go. I ventured into coatings because of my busy life. I don't have the time that I used to when you consider two full top-down details every three to six months with sealant and wax. With this coating, I can get up to three years out of it. All it needs is proper care to maintain its Hydrophobic/philic properties. Should last that long given that this isn't a daily driver. I might get a wild hair and decide to take it off and do it again to fix some of the minor things I missed. There were a couple of spots where I didn't catch some imperfections, so in order to clear that up, I'd have to polish the coating off. It's not noticeable to regular people, so it's all good.

Without any delay, here are some pics. I was kind of in a rush, so I apologize if they look like shit. Some are crooked because I was in a rush to get out and knock out some yard work.

Wasn't very cloudy, but you can see them.

I need to rotate that clamp...

I guess a lot of these look the same... Oh, well...

Not yet, but I will have some very soon.

I was in a rush to get all this done before my trip, but I'll have a video up hopefully by mid-week at the latest.

Beautiful!

I love every thing you did. One thing you may want to check...the grill you have is blocked off on the edges. I'm fairly certain that is made for the convertible. You grill should be open like these....

Thanks, you guys...

As for the grille, I'll have to look into it. Maybe I can pop it out, or something.
