Car towed on two wheels
My car was towed on a normal tow truck. He said that he had the rear in the air. Pretty sure he was not allowed to tow the car but thats not the point of this post. The owners manual says to tow on a flatbed only. How would you react if they towed it on two wheels (obviously without my consent.) Should the car be checked out? Are they liable for any damage?
Has this happened to anybody else? How was your experience? |

towing it that way is fine owners manual says flat bed because that's safest way (lawyer speak). towing with Steering wheels down something could go wrong if steering were to break or wheels turned suddenly or if its lifted to high nose could scrap on the ground over large bumps. so it is preferred to flat bed but if you were illegally parked they did nothing wrong. you can check nose for scrapes but good luck im sure if there are any the will say those were there.

90% sure that the towing of my vehicle was illegal as my spot is "exclusive" and not "common area" according to their policy. I will be fighting with the association and towing company. Just wondering if it is bad for the car.

No, if done properly it's not bad for the car. Unless you see body damage there is no reason to get anything checked out.

I agree with this. The preferred way to tow a Camaro is definitely on a flat bed tow truck but as long they hooked everything up properly you shouldn't have any issues with the way it was towed.
