Texas Car Wars: Hollerin' for Sarah!

The other day, I was watching an episode of your show... Atomic Garage had a Jeep Wrangler that had some electrical issues. You painted it orange, and things were looking good. However, I missed that last few minutes of the show, as I got called away for a minor household emergency... and I've been wondering: Did you make money or lose on that Jeep? The last thing I saw was a Jeep specialist dude showing up... and I didn't see anything beyond that.

Another question: Is Frank REALLY a total jackwad, as portrayed on the show... or is his jerk nature scripted in? He is so remarkably similar to the Dave Hester of Storage Wars, in that he seems to have really deep pockets, and simply enjoys the sadistic pleasure of making everybody else overpay for everything. He thinks that his 5hit don't stink...he's the "bad" guy of the show. But, being so remarkably like Dave Hester, it makes me wonder if it's a scripted formula for the auction shows.

Anyway... great show, lots of fun. It got me fired up to try my hand at things, too... we'll see where that goes. Yesterday, for the first time in my life, I bought a car, sight unseen. I've NEVER done that... always check 'em out, drive 'em, the whole works. But, I got a killer deal in that I had an "insider boost" on a local auction, had the opportunity to purchase it before it hit the block, at the opening bid price only. I won't even SEE the car until it's delivered to my house next week. Anyway... TCW inspired me to if I can do this!

I'm sure the episode will rerun several times very soon.

So the Jeep i believe we made a little over 1k profit? Don't remember the exact amount as we have many cars on the show. The only vehicle we lost was the Mercedes. They are going to show Ep. 2-5 on Thursday before the new one airs incase you wanted to watch again.

Frank is honestly an awesome guy, he doesn't like being the bad guy but unfortunately no matter what way you edit any "guy with deep pockets", they will always seem like the bad guy. It IS an auction, the one with the most money who really WANTS it wins, that is how an auction works. :(

Great to hear we inspired you and good luck with your project
