Lt4 engine swap?

I really like the new LTx engines series chevy has to offer. I study how they work and their main issues non the less they are a greath engine. Im looking to put an lt4 in to my late 5th gen. I know it is possible, the question is what does it need to make it possible? I know i can mod my ls3 for greater power but i believe the direct injection engines respond faster. The ls3.... well it has potentiol but at down low it is very lazy compared to the LT engines.

Have you checked into how the different CAN systems are going to work together?

I hate direct injection engines.

Didn’t you already ask this question? The answers you are going to get aren’t going to change lol.

Yup....as if asking 4 months later is going to change the replies.

Well....I had a '16 2SS and a '17ZL1....and I'm finding I want to get back into a 5th Gen, and I will at some point once I'm able to.

While I loved the weight reduction and some interior refinement, the reliability of the power and drivetrain is not where it should be. There are a whole host of issues people have been having, and I can't wait to get back into a nice LS3 5th gen......I think the bean-counters are running things in GM again causing quality to go into the toilet.

Mod your current LS3 and you'll be better for it in the long run.

The CAN protocols are different from Gen 5 to Gen 6 I believe.

Ill keep the LS3.. is more reliable than current LT engines and far more customizable, even for an old LS1 you can still find more parts than a LT1

When people ask about doing a swap like this... my first thought is... show me one already successfully done.

The only LT4 swaps I've seen have been into old school 60s/70s muscle cars and at monstrous fab work expense. Basically have to custom build the front frame, suspension/steering. Then one headache after another trying to get the electronics/fuel system/throttle... to work.

If someone makes a swap kit (they don't), DIY swaps become very doable. No kit, nobody has done it yet for many good reasons.

It would be like putting an apple Macbook motherboard in a Dell PC. A thousand hurdles to jump to get it in there. Then a million electronics puzzles to sort out.
