Will do thank you very much

Best I could tell the SS hood would bolt on without having any "lines" issues... Again, best I could tell lol, the lines that carry into the bumper are the same one each hood, which is all I think the real worry would be...

I have a RS and started a thread about the same thing. I grabbed some hood scoops (heat extractors) on ebay for $90 shipped. Currently someone is selling a white set for $175 shipped (retail is about $300 from dealership) Im going to cut the hood to put them in. I was hoping someone would be willing to take their extractors out and make me a template for the hole to cut. (Chime in SS owners lol id be willing to paypal you something for your labor)

I'm looking for a stock 2ss hood and hood vents for my bright yellow 2lt. Had a terrible experience with a shop pretending to be a body shop, the paint kept coming out chipped. I asked my dealer and they said they don't do this? Anywhere else I can buy the hood painted and get it installed by someone else?

Wonder if a vinyl stripe cut in shape of vent would be a safer and much less expensive option.

Cutting the hood is super simple. No biggie at all. and way cheaper.

Sweet ride. How do the vents stay in place? Also, what about the hood under liner, did you cut that out as well?

Thanks. The vents stay in by the clips on the vents themselves. The stock liner had a indention where it should be cut. Really easy to do.

I ended up buying an SS hood through the forums. Wasn't wanting to risk cutting my hood xD.

Installed the hood myself this weekend. Seems like a lot of V8 owners like getting aftermarket hoods. You RS guys keep an eye out for people selling their hoods.

I almost bought one myself, but i really like the look of the vents sitting on the hood instead of sitting in the hood like they are on the SS. Plus i got a pair of Silver hood vents on ebay for $75 New and sold them for $150 plus the guy sent me his Black vents. Cheapest hood i could find was $450+shipping. Glad to see you got what you wanted in the end.
