This may be as simple as having the Freon recharged. Hope that's all it is.

I’m really surprised no one is mentioning the blend door issue that is seems to be so common with this situation. Just throwing it out there. Lots of threads available on the subject.

Ah...sorry...didn’t see the OP’s mid post. Thought the fact that we were on page 2 meant answers were still being looked for.

You don't want it to be the evaporative core. Just got mine replaced a month ago. That's a $2000 bill. Pull the windshield, pull the dash.. 10 hrs of labor.. you don't want that.

Mines ended up being the compressor sensor. They are charging me 500 to fix. Meanwhile I'm able to bypass through the fuse box.

Does that mean the compressor is running all the time now?

This bypass you speak of sounds like a good mini DIY article IMO.

There is a fuse I can put a rubberband around but I have to remove or else it will stay on and kill my battery .Yes it's on all the time .Haven't fixed it yet since I gave another car .

Also make sure your radiator fans are working. One of mine went out last week and AC was hot at idle.
Could be loose AC belt, they are stretch fit and must be replaced if removed. (I found an awesome trick to get a new belt on with string)
May need to recharge AC.
