Continental vs BFGoodrich
Looking for some all seasons tires and wanted to get some input.
Not really concerned about snow, just cold weather and rain. Has anyone compared the 2, pros or cons? Looking at CONTINENTAL EXTREME CONTACT DWS06 BFGoodrich g-Force Comp-2 A/S Thanks |

I've had both and the BFG, in my opinion, are way better than the Continental tires for daily drive icing and in wet weather. The continental tires are a bit quieter though. Currently rocking the BFG tires now for 7 months and been through several heavy rain storms with ZERO issues.

Im running a square setup 285/35/20 on all corners. When I had continentals I ran 295/40/20 in the rear and the standard size in the front.

Conti still makes the DWS06 in stock sizes. I've had both and am on the BFG's now. Only difference I've been able to tell after about 10k on them is the price. I'm hoping for longer tread life out of the BFG's as I'm on a square 285/35 setup with them for front to back rotation.
Wet and cold traction on both are good in my experience. Can't say much for snow and ice as we don't get much of that here. First winter I had it I had the Conti's on with icy roads and they did fine. I had the Conti's on for approximately 25k miles and have had the BFG's on for about 10k now. Price was my main decision factor.

I never had Conti's before...
I'm running the BFG's (~15k+ miles), and they are hands down amazing in rain, and great in the cold!

Both are super amazing tires, just comes down to the tire sizes you want. If you want a 315 year its the Conti, OEM sizes BFG.
Conti are more expensive so the BFG is def a good option. |
