Which Break Pads Do I need to buy??

Hey guys I am going to change my break pads for a 2010 2SS RS, but I am unsure which pads I need to buy. I am going to change them myself. I have the standard stock ones and at 50k miles I think i should change them. I don't break quick or go on tracks so regular pads are fine.

Thank you for the help
SHayne

You "think" you should change them? Just look at the wear tabs. Mine are fine and I have 43k

Just changed out my original pads at 55K and went with the exact GM replacements. They are made for GM by Ferrodo and say so on the pads. Rock Auto has them at a good price but you will need to look closely at the description to make sure you pick the right ones. They come in a box with the new hardware but you will need to reuse the shims. They come with the special grease too. You will get the roller skates this time even if you did not have them before.

If you have the link for the Pads that you have bought, do you mind sending it please.
Thanks

http://www.rockauto.com

Part Number 1710882 and part number 1711112 are the right pads to order.

fyi, the original equipment Brembo pads are available at http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/

you also get the needed shims and some break grease in small tubes.

the cost online at GMPartsDirect is really good and you're getting oem.

to avoid squealing breaks, see the DIY on pad install here on C5, use plenty of break grease on any metal to metal contact point. you'll have quiet braking for sure.
