So I did, and you are correct, Becky knows her stuff. With the $1710 in options I want (shifter, exhaust, windscreen, caego net), the MSRP for the SSE would be $52,500! Going back to my original "60th Anniversary Corvette Imitation" spec...
I will have to rethink this as well. Was planning on upgrading my 2010 to one of these. That's extremely high.

My local dealer was selling a Hot Wheels edition that was set up like this. Fully loaded (auto) convertible. It stickered for $52K. After a few months they had it listed on their web site for $43K

$52K seems a little high but I bet they'll be willing to deal on them if they wind up sitting there long enough.

The problem with this pricing is your just $3-4000 from 580hp. Of I'm going to spend low 50's, I'm going for the big power.

OTOH, that pricing will make the Special that much rarer and perhaps more collectable. Although for me, this is car is going to be a driver, not a garage queen.

When I bought my HWSE last year it stickered for $56K (remember...this is Canadian pricing eh!), and a ZL1 stickers for $72K. A regular 2SS is around $49K. When I was looking at buying the Camaro I was seriously looking at the ZL1, but the $16K price difference made that not possible. I still wanted to get a car that was unique and that I would not have to modifiy a lot to make it stand out, and the HWSE does that for me.

It really comes down to personal preference! I am sure that you will enjoy whatever you choose!

Yup, I have zero'd in on what I call my '60th Anny Corvette Imitation'. I just loved that full stripes on white package. But at $90K with the 427, just slightly out of reach. So, God willing, I will soon place an order for:

2SS Convertible with 6 MT
Summit White with gray insert leather
Gray full length Indy stripes
RS Package
Shift kit
Exhaust
Nav
Windscreen
Premo mats
Cargo net

Shooting for a mid-March delivery.
