Need opinions on the Drag Radial setup I'm thinking of for my ZL1

I've been doing some research today on the forums and think I have found the DR setup that might be the best bang for the buck for my ZL1.

After going to the track and having the stock Goodyears turn to mush after 2 runs I think this will be money will spent. Especially since I'm planning upgrades to the car next season (pulleys, CAI, injectors, TB, tune). I'm hoping to pick up another 80rwhp or so.

The best run I had at Bandimere totally stock with stock tires was 12.9 @108 with a 1.9 60' (DA of 8500!). I'm hoping that just the DR's should be able to shave off .4-.6 from my ET. After 2 runs with 1.9 60' times everything after that was like 2.4-2.7 60' and like a full sec slower ET's. This would run me right around $1K total. Any thoughts on this setup? From what I've read everything on the wheel should clear just fine and the MT's are about as good as you can get for the price that will fit wheels we can run.

I don't think the OP, nor the person I quoted, were going to run these on the front of the car. These would be perfect wheels for a set of drag radials to use at the track.
I'm also not sure what you mean when you say sizes are limited on 18's.....check out tirerack.com or discounttiredirect.com......there are LOTS of 18" tires?

I run those rims front and back but it takes work to fit them up front.

What fitment issues did you run into? I am assuming this is your winter tire setup. I am looking to do the same and don't want to roll my fenders or anything.

Thanks

How do you like the MT's? Have you used others before you got these?

Do you drive them much on the street or swap out rims/tires at the track?
