Go with the GC for sure. No contest if you are giving any consideration to frequently traveling with a small child.

The Grand Cherokee is really well built and almost luxurious on the inside. The Charger is the most practical for me since it's a sedan but basically a sports car. Any suggestions/opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Well I have a 2010 Charger and my Daughter has a 2012 SRT8 Charger.I love my Charger and the SRT8 is really really nice inside!

I'd say Charger, you have a child and want her to be comfortable.

Plenty of room in the back seat of the camaro for kids.

You could always by an SS and a used charger or jeep.

It depends on what your wife drives. They are all great vehicles. If she has an SUV, then get the Z. If she drives a small sedan, then i would do the charger or GC. I had an 06 Charger RT and it had ample room for the baby seat and all the gear. The car seat fits fine in my SS. We will be switching to a front facing seat soon as my daughter is now 15 months, so it should be much easier. But there is less room for all the gear compared to the Charger. For short day trips it is fine, but overnight is really tough, with all the extra stuff. Hence the reason i traded the charger in for my 4 door Ram.

Thanks all, for the advice. My wife drives an 05 Trailblazer so we have space in that but since it's getting older, reliability is always an issue. Want to make sure that I have space in the new car but can't get it out of my head that the ZL1 is a once in a lifetime car, especially with the new federal mandates coming down the line. Just want to get a V8 "muscle" just once before the govt kills V8's as we know them.

I also love the repect this forum gives all machines, even when they aren't a Camaro. Ultimately, test driving all of them will make the difference. The ZL1 has so much style and muscle, that it'd be hard to look at the GC without at least giving the Camaro a try, especially since they're close in price. The Charger is nice because it is cheaper, offers good room and looks like it means business for a sedan.

I have a 2.5 year old and a 5 month old. Car seat fit fine in my SS and it would the same for the ZL1. Gas may not be the best though if using it as a daily driver.

I own a 2010 SS and a 12 jeep srt8.... Love both!!! Go test drive a jeep set8... You'll love it.... My best 0-60 in my jeep is 4.8 seconds. For what it is, it's fast as hell! Mine is 100% stock. I'm not gonna mod my jeep....

On the showroom floor.... Sticker was 65,795.00 I purchased mine for 62,500.00 + tax and fees...

The jeep has more features unlike the Camaro. Has adaptive cruise control ( never need to hit brake in traffic, automatically slows down for you) Automatic high beams, wipers... If the jeep thinks your gonna rear end someone, it alerts you before its to late.... Which I really like.... Epically if you text while driving... Which a lot of us are guilty for.... Lol... Its AWD... My opinion is.... It's a better family vehicle than the Camaro.... Not to say my family and I don't take my Camaro from time to time.... But for everyday use... Jeep!

The ZL1 is an awesome car though and I love it, even debated on trading my SS in on one..... Just not practical for a DD family vehicle.... IMO... I'm lucky to have both....

I bought my Camaro because my daughter is 15 and she'll be driving soon. She won't want to go everywhere my wife and I go.
If she was any younger, I would have bought a Jeep GC.

So then...a couple months later, I went and bought my wife a 2012 Jeep GC Altitude edition anyway.

I was in the same scituation months back, loved my Camaro, was considering a ZL1, but to be honest the rear seats in 5th gens are pretty much useless. Trying to maneuver a baby seat back there was hell. I also really needed seating for 5. I ended up getting a SRT8 Challenger, although I would have liked the Charger as well.
