My 2 LT V6 A8 is Great Commuter, Getting 35 MPG

I traded in my 2011 SS for my 2017 2 LT, V6, A8. It has awesome Adventus aftermarket wide wheels and tires- which it came with on the lot.I was getting ready to take a different and better job with reduced hours- from 65 hours a week to 40 and no longer have to work weekends. The only trade off is that my commute was going from 12 miles a day to 80. So I wanted new Camaro with better MPG and opted for the 2LT V6. I took the new job and also got a commuter car for the trip and my Camaro was to be the weekend car, also being a good back up if the commuter died or was in repair.Although I recently started to take the Camaro and I love how the car is for a commuter- and it’s netting me a real 35 MPG.The roads are flat, back lane roads- 1, 2 and 3 lane speeds 50-60 MPH with a few stop lights.I drive it leisurely, AC off, windows down and pretty much go much with the flow of traffic. So the Camaro is actually costing me less in gas than my commuter car and is way more comfortable and such a fun to drive- a really great car overall- I am really pleased with it. I get a lot of compliments on it- it's not an SS but really works for me and my driving/lifestyle.

I traded in my 2015 SS for a 2017 2LT. I feel the same way about the 2LT. Big fun to drive.

Uh oh, better watch out. Pretty soon, you'll be getting an army of V8 owners in here claiming the same thing. lol!

Yes, I can believe the 5th gen V6 can get 30 mpg if you granny drive it, especially the 2LS. I average around 24-25 mpg (1LS manual) driving it like I have an egg under the pedal.

A 6th gen V6 in V4 mode, I can definitely believe up to 30+ mpg.

Traveling long distances on flat highway, 50 to 60 mph without traffic? I'm sure there is speed sweet-spot in 8th gear in V4 mode that gets maximum mpg. How can anyone dispute the OP unless they have driven in similar conditions, which are very unusual.
