LOL - great pic! This thread reminds me of an old tune that GM could use in their 6th gen commercials

GM went too retro with the 5th Gen IMO, forgetting about functionality, especially important in a HiPo car. My cousin warned me that I should definitely get a 2011 since the HUD display is damn near essential and he was right - I rarely look at the IP gauges.

The original radio looks like something a drunk anime artist designed. The 6th Gen head unit, while it ain't pretty, looks a lot better. The HVAC controls are pretty much even for both cars and I have no problem with either. Door locks on the IP? Bad idea - which is probably why they changed it on the later year 5th Gen. The steering wheel? It's nice they brought back the Camaro name on the 6th Gen instead of the generic wheel that came on later 5th Gens.

The rear seat room? Never been back there and no plans on going back there, it's for emergency use only. You'll get no argument from me regarding the exterior being better on the 5th Gen.
The 5th gens success was built on the retro look. I dont see to much retro at all. What I see is a Camaro with modern style with a musclecar flair. Its the perfect blend of muscle and retro. I have a 2017 Titan Pro4x and a 2018 Crv Touring. Getting into my Camaro after driving the other 2 makes me appreciate the Camaros look and feel even more.

This is a 5th gen forum. I'm not sure I really care how the sales of the 6th gen are doing.
I know on the 6th gen forum they don't care at all about the 5th gens at all.

You should care. If the 6th gens don't sell and the Camaro dies... again, I'm pretty sure they won't bring it back for a 3rd try. They'll probably give us some turbo 4 banger or electric powered Cavalier revival instead. No thanks!

Don't over react...I don't care about the 6th gen either. Bring on the 7th gen. The 6th gen already is a public failure....nobody even knows its out there. Gm did a piss poor job in promoting that car. They need to reastablish an image for that car like the 5th gen. But at this production point it's too late

Keep in mind this is just your opinion based on what you are seeing in the Great White North. In the States sales are much different, in fact they are doing just fine. Is the 6th gen going to sell as much as the 5th, of course not. But sales have nothing to do with you not liking it. The problem is most folks can't afford it. Also the 5th gen had a movie series to help it along, also a ton of fleet sales to car rental companies.

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's a failure...

Again, I like the looks of the 5th Gen a lot better than the 6th Gen, it's just the IP that stuck a little too much to the concept instead of maybe massaging it to be more user friendly.

Exactly! The biggest threat right now to future Camaros is GM's intended cancellation of the Cadillac ATS. The sedan is gone next year i believe with the coupe soon to follow. If there's not multiple use platform to spread the cost, I can see the Camaro dying again.

So keep encouraging folks to buy ANY Camaro - 4-6-8 cylinder, whatever!

I'm surprised that nobody has suggested this yet. Do you think the sales of the 6th gens are picking up because people who want a new Camaro don't want to be stuck with a 2019+ Camaro? The 6th gen refresh has been a much bigger more passionate and widely debated refresh than the 5th gen.
