Top 5 Must-Have Mods

Would love to hear everyone's list of your absolute Must-Have for the platform.

My list is very tame and basic. Maybe I've missed something, or maybe the car doesn't really need anything.

For my 1LE so far I will have:

Full Front PPF
ZL1addon lift pads
RokBlokz splash guards
Ceramic tint
Cleared reflectors

That's a good list if we're talking aesthetic mods. I prefer smoked reflectors on most colors as opposed to clear. Besides tinted windows, your top 5 are basically the first things I did to my ZLE (per my signature)

Performance-wise, I'd say there aren't ANY "must-have" mods. Such a great platform and very few things if any that "need" to be improved. All about personal preference and your goals with the car.

Wanted to make sure there were no glaring issues with the platform itself. I remember the E46 M3... You needed to add subframe reinforcement yourself or the car would basically tear itself to shreds

I get the idea of window tints but those are illegal in most states.

I don't bother with window tints after my 96 Impala SS had tints when I bought it, and I got 32 window tint tickets in 8 months in Chicago, IL for it.

Ever since then I won't tint my windows. Sure I told them to ef themselves and never paid the tickets, but the harassment alone was enough.

Profiling is bad in the Midwest as it is.

For sure. Thankfully there aren't these weak spots with the Alpha platform Camaros.

But I know what you mean. The 4th gens needed things like subframe connectors and stronger torque arms. The 10 bolt rear was weak. Etc.

Nice to have mods - ACS splash guards, Banks iDash guage (or other).

I agree. I added rock guards and ceramic window tint. That's all I felt I needed.

32 window tint tickets??

It helps to go with the lightest shade possible on the windshield so it just looks OEM. The rest is going to be 50% shade or so. Nothing obvious like limo tint, plus that's super dangerous at night. 50% is my tried and true.

I run 15% on mine. It’s fine at night. It’s actually better for me at night vs the no tint on my daily. The light reflection off the mirrors messes with my vision at night

The wind shield wasn't tinted at all lol

It wasn't limo tint but it was dark, not dark enough not to see at night or I wouldn't have noticed one cook county dirty harry syndrome MF'er follow me home from work, then pull me over in my apartment complex then yelling at me for loud exhaust, ( was parked and idling in my parking spot) then giving me a window tint ticket because he couldn't get me for anything else.

Ahhh yes. That brings back memories of when I got pulled over for doing 60 in a 65. I.e ****er just wanted to pull me over. He couldn't get me on anything, so gave me a tint ticket. Most cops around here aren't Tint Nazi's, so it's not so bad. I usually roll down my windows anyways whenever I notice a cop just to be safe.

This is why I have decided against tinting my windows. I don't want to give the cops any reason to just pull me over. My neighboor has his tinted in his vehicle and he said he's been pulled over 3 times for it.

For the OP
Xpel on the front clip and in front of the rear wheels.

Aside from that all I've done is the red brembo callipers and blacked out bowtie, Camaro side badge, and powder coated wheels.

Otherwise it's stock
