MRC (Street/Strip car)
Debating on the $1.5K for MRC for a street/strip car. Car will be a weekend street/strip car for the first few years. Once warranty is up and paid off will likely go all out. (Weight reduction, cage, etc).
My question is initially I’m not going to go all out and void the warranty. But until I decide to pull the trigger and make it a full on toy is the MRC better (touring mode) for drag racing then a standard SS without? If they are similar I’ll prob just save the costs. If the touring mode with MRC is better then STD then I may pay that price until I want to go all out. If not it’s not worth the $$$. |

if you are going to wild out later, there's no point in getting mrc now. you will just have to remove it to put the good stuff on.

Waste of money on the strip IMO. I'd say yes if you were track racing...

I have mrc. It’s good on the road so you can switch from soft to firm. If you’re legit street/strip save the weight and open your options to some cheap adjustables down the road

Magazines have tested both configurations and there doesn't appear to be any difference in acceleration or handling metrics.
